In Slavic mythology, Vyriy is the land of eternal summer, where birds fly for winter and life waits for the new season to begin. This image became the starting point for the COAT's new summer drop. The collection speaks in textures that look sun-touched: faded floral appliqués in warm earth tones and powdery rose, hand-crocheted crochet work, light ribbons that trace the silhouette. The palette — sand, caramel, pink ochre — colors of the earth as seen from a bird’s-eye view, once the harvest has already been gathered.
“Last year I found myself at the ‘Vyrii’ festival. I was captivated by its atmosphere: lightness and complete ease. People were dressed as if they hadn’t just arrived at a festival, but stepped into a different world,” says Katya Silchenko, founder of the COAT. “That place inspired me deeply. There’s an incredible concentration of beautiful, free people there. Everyone comes to be themselves. There’s a mission in that: to carry forward a beauty that will only keep gaining momentum,” the designer adds.
