The COAT by Katya Silchenko, fashion brand, Designer Katya Silchenko

SPRING SUMMER 2019

The collection is dedicated to the woman’s life during the postwar period - a topic deeply studied in Soviet and European journalism. Katya Silchenko openly demonstrates her position, dedicating the collection to those, whose youth bloomed during that period: "They had to rebuild the ruined world all by themselves, worked so hard on the machines at the factories, but at the same time managed to be loving mothers and caring wives. “I think that it was their faith, effort and courage, that returned the world back to life," explains the designer.

Work uniform of that time was reflected in the collection: midi and mini skirts, sarafans and blouses decorated with patch pockets - they demonstrate both tenderness and practicality of female nature. Jackets with large patch pockets, belts and trenches are the reference to military ammunition. However, Katya Silchenko uses her signature cut to emphasize grace and delicacy of woman's silhouette.

Fabrics are contrasting as well: the collection has light silk and organza, and heavier materials such as cotton, jacquard and raincoat fabric.

The colors selection is all about pastels, with main colors being baby blue, pink, pistachio and nude.
